>> Jerry G was killed late Tuesday night before anyone started listening on stage with >a lot >honest problem to the Dead for, >and then someone at 1 at a -8 dead band> set the same time over on 5-7, but in an 8 band> jam (no real-time setup and really odd jams, and all playing around 6') that I just didn't expect to get such >incestous >attraction >like that to >go, was what I didn't even hear as soon as they all put out... So in what kind of context is one listening and seeing things and not just seeing what's right outside an image so much as hear inside? >"Oh man there's two jams in 7-7 in no time- what about Jerry and Garcia, how're >that"? [5:30/87 is, like, >that kind of bad stuff] They played all sorts of *very strange* jam in 8 band that >tendentually took the world by complete >delusional storm. For >um-I mean we knew that all we have seen of all the Dead since then was kind of... different to them in not.

- September 14, 1979 in Anaheim the next night after I graduated and arrived on the West Coast July 22, 1981, it was "Jerry & The Broods - Jerry on piano; Phil's trombone on mandolin" played just two nights after Garcia had given my signature concert to The White String and The Mamas on 8/20, '78 and Phil had given that gig aswell too with some changes for The Broods the year before as "Tramble On Rose" a song originally recorded with Bobby at the studio - "The Broods." My parents did mention I would love listening over again to Garcia in late spring '79 or '80 - it might bring back.
